Every kit ships with pre-applied 3M VHB tape, surface prep materials, and step-by-step instructions. The process: clean the bumper's lower edge, position the plate using the supplied alignment guides, press firmly, and allow the bond to cure. No tools, no drilling, no shop visit required — though any detailer or shop can install it for you if you prefer.

Will a skid plate change how my car looks?
From standing height the plate is effectively invisible — it follows the bumper's lower contour and sits beneath the paint line. Most owners' friends never notice it until they hear the plate take a hit that would have been paint damage.
Does the 3M VHB tape hold at speed?
Yes. VHB (Very High Bond) tape is used by vehicle manufacturers to attach body panels, spoilers, and trim at the factory. Properly installed, the bond is engineered for highway speeds, heat cycles, car washes, and years of service.
Will it damage my paint if I remove it?
No. VHB tape removes cleanly with heat and patience, leaving the original bumper surface intact — one of the main reasons we use tape instead of drilled fasteners.
What are the plates made of?
